What is a clinical manager?

A Clinical Manager is a healthcare professional responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinic, department, or healthcare facility. They manage staff, coordinate patient care, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and work to improve the quality and efficiency of services provided. Clinical Managers often handle budgeting, scheduling, and may also be involved in hiring and training personnel. Successful Clinical Managers typically develop strong time management skills and delegate effectively, enabling them to maintain high standards in both operational and clinical areas. Regular communication with team members and continuous process improvement also help ease these challenges.
