Job Description:
Performs and demonstrates competency, proficiency and understanding of the test procedures in the Clinical Laboratory up to and including high complexity testing.
Education:
  • Bachelor of Science Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or Microbiology - Required

Experience:
Additional Experience Requirements:
If no B.S Degree in the above areas, must have a Bachelor's Degree with specific completed course requirements outlined below:
  • 16 semester or equivalent quarter units of chemistry, which must include clinical chemistry or analytical and biochemistry.
  • 18 semester or equivalent quarter units of biology, which must include hematology, immunology, and medical microbiology.
  • 3 semester or equivalent quarter units of physics (light and electricity).

Certifications/Licensures:
  • CLS Clinical Lab Scientist (MTA) - California Department of Public Health - Laboratory Field Service or
  • Clinical Microbiologist Scientist - California Department of Public Health - Laboratory Field Service - Required

For training, must have full-time day availability. After training complete, per diem availability must include PM, Nights and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Days and Shifts worked will vary based on business needs.

Pay Range:
$65.04 - $87.78
Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
