We are seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our team!
Hospital Details
Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, located in Folsom, CA, is a 58 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.
Responsibilities
According to departmental policies and professional standards, performs and reviews various moderate to highly complex test procedures in one or more sections of the laboratory without direct supervision. Testing must be requested by a licensed physician and requires a degree of skill that is commensurate with the individual's education, training, experience and technical abilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act and Amendments (CLIA).
  • Current, valid and active National Board certified or eligible for national certification as an MT or CLS (MT/ASCP or CLS/ASCP) or Categorical Certification in the related clinical laboratory discipline.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
