Memorial Hospital in Aurora, NE is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Quality and Clinical Informatics Program Manager. This position will be for full-time days, Monday to Friday with no weekends or on call. The ideal candidate will be passionate about driving positive outcomes, fostering collaboration among departments, and using data to support informed decision making and continuous improvement. The Quality/Clinical Informatics Manager uses knowledge of clinical information and computer science to manage and communicate data, information, and knowledge, as well as improve clinical practice. Assists in the design, development, and implementation of computerized healthcare systems. Supports human-computer and human-technology interactions for patients and staff. Develop strategies and procedures for modifying information technology to best support clinicians. 

Responsible for planning and implementing the performance improvement program to meet the needs of the organization. Provides education to medical staff, departmental staff and Governing Body as needed. Facilitates performance improvement activities and CQI activities throughout the organization. Acts as a resource person to administrative team, department managers and medical staff. Assists department managers with preparations for committees. Oversight responsibility for all regulatory body surveys, e.g., the accrediting organization, State Licensing Review, CMS validation surveys. Maintains oversight for all performance activities conducted throughout the institution.



Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a liaison between clinical staff and information technology to ensure clinical systems support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Analyzes clinical workflows, documentation practices, and data processes.
  • Expert resource and primary contact for SR submission and validation.
  • Maintains knowledge of current clinical informatic trends, healthcare technology standards, and regulatory updates.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPPA, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements related to clinical information systems and data access.
  • Revies and directs submission of monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
  • Facilitate performance improvement and CQI activities throughout the organization.
  • Participates in systems upgrades, go-lives, and optimization initiatives.
  • Supports and build, configuration, testing, and maintenance of EMR/EHR components. 

Requirements

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree and 2 years of clinical experience in direct patient care or Associate's degree in nursing and 5 years of clinicial experience in direct patient care.
  • Two years or more experience in Quality Management including quality reporting, interoperability, and data driven performance improvement.
  • Two years previous technology (EMR, Microsoft, Excel) experience.
  • CPHQ Certification
  • Healthcare Informatics Degree
