  • BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo's preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service, and dignity.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of an echocardiography tech.
  • In addition, performs basicechocardiography through TTE's (trans thoracic echo) scansto include patient care, reporting patient conditions, circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness.
  • TheClinicalintern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
  • Conditions: May be required to work irregular schedules.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials/situations, including but not limited to, blood-borne pathogens, ionizing radiation, and communicable diseases.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in the Amarillo College Radiography Program.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must beenrolledin an accreditedrespiratory therapyprogram with an anticipated program completion within 24 months from the date of hire.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
