Job description

Position Summary:


As the Loan Associate, you will support throughout the lending process including origination, accurate documentation while maintaining strong relationships to ensure a smooth and positive experience for producers.


You will develop credit analysis and lending knowledge due to processing, reviewing and managing loan applications which requires effective coordination and client support.


The successful candidate is motivated with exceptional attention to detail, organizational and communication skills. You will fit in seamlessly in a fast-paced environment, be able to quickly learn processes, and enjoys working with people and developing relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with producers through clear phone and email communication and providing excellent customer service
  • Collect, review and organize financial documents and support internal team in preparing applications
  • Follow up on documentation to ensure timely processing
  • Review applications and loan activity to ensure compliance
  • Support credit analysis, evaluate risk factors and provide input
  • Attend tradeshows and industry events through program promotion and engagement with stakeholders


Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in banking, lending, financial services or administrative support
  • Experience within agriculture including lending experience an asset
  • Working knowledge of credit and lending principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience working with loan management systems considered an asset
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events
