Learn more at later.com.
About this position:
Reporting to the Director of Client Strategy, you'll own influencer marketing proposals from kickoff through client presentation, translating ambiguous client asks into a clear strategic blueprint. You'll apply Later's Creator Intelligence Loop to define how a strategy will achieve a client's objectives, balancing creative thinking with measurement rigor, and you'll partner closely with Sales, Services, and Customer Success to keep strategy and execution aligned. This role sits between our Associate Strategist and Senior Strategist tracks, so you'll work with increasing independence as you build toward the bespoke, high value proposal work our Senior Strategists lead.
What you'll be doing:
Strategy & proposal ownership
  • Own standard influencer marketing proposals from kickoff through client presentation.
  • Translate ambiguous client objectives into a clear strategic blueprint that builds client confidence.
  • Apply Later's Creator Intelligence Loop to define how a strategy will achieve a client's goals.
  • Balance creative thinking with measurement rigor, connecting the client's ask to a distinct creative point of view.

Client & cross-functional partnership
  • Manage brand inputs and intake conversations, ensuring objectives and KPIs are clearly defined before work begins.
  • Partner with Sales to build pitches that are culturally relevant and help win new business.
  • Collaborate with Services and Customer Success to keep strategy aligned with campaign execution and client outcomes.
  • Present strategy and proposal work directly to clients and prospects.

Expertise & growth
  • Build proposals and pitches with decreasing reliance on senior support over time.
  • Take feedback on strategy work constructively and iterate quickly toward the strongest solution.
  • Simplify complex problems so clients understand both the why and the how behind a recommendation.
  • Stay current on social platform updates, creator trends, and emerging influencer marketing tactics.
What success looks like:
  • Within 30 days, you understand Later's process and can navigate brand inputs and intake conversations independently.
  • By 90 days, you're owning standard proposals from kickoff to presentation with only light senior support.
  • By 6 months, you're building pitches and creative recommendations with minimal oversight, and sales partners trust your read on a client's objectives.
What you bring:
We are committed to building an inclusive, supportive place for you to do the best and most rewarding work of your career. If you identify with any of the following, we encourage you to apply!
  • 3+ years of experience in influencer marketing, social media strategy, or digital marketing (agency or in-house experience welcome).
  • Working knowledge of major social and influencer platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and a genuine interest in the creator economy.
  • Demonstrated ability to move from asking questions to independently uncovering insights, not just reporting data.
  • Experience building proposals, pitches, or campaign recommendations with decreasing need for oversight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, client-ready materials.
  • Proficiency in presentation tools (Google Slides, PowerPoint) and collaboration software (Slack, GSuite, Zoom).
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing or social media management platforms (e.g., Later, CreatorIQ, Sprout Social) and paid social is a plus.
How you work:
  • **How we work:**
  • We will do whatever it takes to win: We win when our customers and creators win. We bring full commitment to outcomes that matter, not just effort.
  • We have no limit to our aspiration: We think big, push beyond what seems possible, and refuse to let conventional thinking set the ceiling.
  • We are relentless: We keep going. Through ambiguity, setbacks, and competing priorities, we find a way forward.
  • We deeply understand our business: If we don't have the knowledge, we figure it out. We take ownership of understanding how Later works and what drives results.
  • We take our work seriously, but not ourselves: We bring rigor and accountability without ego, and we make space for each other to do our best work.
Our approach to compensation:
We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.
Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.
To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.
Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.
Salary Range:
$80,000-$95,000

Where we work:
We have offices in Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; and Vancouver, WA. For select positions, we are open to hiring fully remote candidates. We post our positions in the location(s) where we are open to having the successful candidate be located.
Diversity, inclusion, and accessibility:
At Later, we are committed to fostering a culture rooted in an inclusion-first mindset at every level of the company, embracing the importance of hiring and building teams for culture add rather than culture fit. We openly build and maintain unbiased hiring, pay, and promotion practices to create a foundation for an equitable workplace, paving the way for systemic change.
We are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All applications will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or age.
