Position Overview

Drop of Life Counseling Services is actively seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments of clients' psychosocial needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform treatment plans.
  • Develop, implement and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing effective communication strategies to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Contribute to team meetings and case consultations to discuss client progress and adapt care strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing social work practice, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients and families experiencing distress, helping them to navigate challenging circumstances.
  • Document client interactions meticulously in electronic health records to maintain accurate and confidential health information.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities to enhance therapeutic techniques and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on seniors, as well as their families, addressing complex emotional and psychosocial challenges that arise from aging and various life transitions. By delivering specialized care, you will contribute to improving their mental health outcomes and overall well-being. Understanding the unique struggles faced by this demographic, you will guide families through issues such as isolation, bereavement, and chronic illness, ensuring they feel supported and understood.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
  • Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues affecting diverse populations, especially seniors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven organizational and planning skills that allow for managing multiple cases efficiently.
  • Competency in addressing age-related issues and developmental needs, particularly pertaining to the elderly.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment to provide effective support in urgent situations.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a social work or mental health setting is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in English and Spanish, are favorable to better serve our diverse community.
Compensation and Benefits
