Job description

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system that provides care to a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. We are a career destination with over 6,000 colleagues who reflect the diversity of our community. 
TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:

Your Role:

  • Responsible for Laboratory Services’ Client Service team performance.
  • Oversees and standardizes processes for all non-technical procedures in the laboratory.
  • Reviews laboratory practices to identify and expand the Client Services team’s capabilities.
  • Communicates directly with the Client Services team, ensuring cohesion and accountability for laboratory services provided to consumers.
  • Designs and implements creative solutions for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining laboratory personnel.
  • Ensures a safe environment for laboratory colleagues.

Reports To:

  • Director/Lab Services 

Supervises:

  • Laboratory Assistant 
  • Phlebotomist 
  • Phlebotomist/Lead

Required Education:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)

Required Experience:

  • Three (3) years of job-related experience (including phlebotomy and lead or supervisory experience)

Required Certification/License/Registry:  

  • Valid state driver license
    • NOTE: Incumbent operates a Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) vehicle and requires a valid state driver license with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience.  Required to provide a seven (7)-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment.  Will have received no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years.
