Job description

Job Title: Client Manager - Diversified
Department: Diversified Practice Area
Reports To: Client Service Team Leader
FLSA Status: Exempt


POSITION SUMMARY: The Client Manager is a client-facing role responsible for managing marketing and renewal processes, policy servicing, and ongoing client relationships. Acting as the central support for the Client Executive and Advisor, the Client Manager takes ownership of the day-to-day servicing and marketing of a complex book of business, ensuring coverage solutions align with client needs. This position requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines. Working closely with carriers, clients, and internal teams, the Client Manager is expected to proactively identify coverage opportunities, streamline client service processes, and help transition the team toward a more strategic, advisory-driven approach.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client service requests, renewals, and policy inquiries
  • Work closely with Client Executives and Advisors to develop tailored insurance solutions
  • Participate in client meetings, renewal discussions, and strategic planning sessions
  • Provide policy analysis and risk assessments to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Manage end-to-end renewal processes, including policy marketing, negotiations, and carrier placements
  • Secure competitive terms and pricing while ensuring full compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and deliver renewal proposals with a focus on cost-effective, high-impact solutions.
  • Oversee endorsements, coverage modifications, and policy documentation
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to facilitate seamless account management
  • Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and process improvements
  • Delegate administrative tasks as appropriate to Associate Client Managers, ensuring proper oversight for procedural consistency, Epic accuracy, and general quality control
  • Manage workload through consistency and a spirit of continuous process improvement as a means to ensure accurate, timely, and polished service deliverables.
  • Additional duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A four-year college degree preferred, or equivalent years of industry experience in a similar position
  • Possession and maintenance of Property and Casualty Insurance license for the State of Colorado required
  • Professional designations such as ARM, CIC, CPCU, or CRM preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance with a focus on marketing and renewals, with 3+ years in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of policy structures, coverage terms, and carrier negotiations
  • Ability to manage diverse middle-market accounts with exposure to complex accounts
  • Proficiency in Epic or similar agency management systems or ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A track record of mentoring junior employees and driving strategic client service initiatives


KEY SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.


COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

  • Pay Range: $61,000 - $105,000 (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
  • Total Compensation = Pay + Performance Bonus + Benefits


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands to operate a computer, keyboard and other office equipment. The role requires clear verbal and written communication, including use of the telephone, email, and other collaboration tools. Periodic standing, walking, and light lifting or carrying of materials (generally up to 10 pounds) may be required.
