SUMMARY:

Our client, a reputable and growing family law firm based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a driven Associate Attorney to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about family law and looking to take ownership of a meaningful caseload while working in a collaborative, client-focused environment. The firm is known for handling a broad range of domestic matters and is committed to delivering strategic, compassionate representation to clients navigating sensitive legal issues. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing family law cases from inception through resolution. This role requires a combination of litigation skills, client relationship management, and the ability to handle emotionally complex situations with professionalism and care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Independently manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and related domestic issues

- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings

- Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents

- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies aligned with client objectives

- Advise clients on legal rights, options, and risk factors throughout the lifecycle of a case

- Maintain consistent communication with clients, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness

Collaborate with internal team members to drive case progress and favorable outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

- Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required)

- 2+ years of experience practicing family law or domestic relations

- Strong courtroom presence and litigation experience preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- High level of professionalism, empathy, and client service orientation
