JOB SUMMARY
The Relationship Associate is responsible for supporting branch growth and customer retention by delivering exceptional sales and customer service. This role builds and strengthens customer relationships through accurate transaction processing, proactive product referrals, and knowledgeable assistance with the bank's products and services. The Relationship Associate also supports branch operations by performing cash handling and balancing functions, completing operational and maintenance requests, and ensuring compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include providing consistent, high-quality sales and service that strengthens customer relationships and supports branch growth, processing customer transactions accurately and professionally, identifying and referring opportunities for additional bank products and services, and assisting customers with inquiries and account maintenance requests. The Relationship Associate is responsible for balancing a cash drawer, maintaining appropriate cash levels, processing proof work accurately and timely, and adhering to all audit, compliance, and operational procedures. Additional duties include assisting with ATM, vault, cash order, and balancing activities, resolving routine customer maintenance requests, maintaining awareness of physical and information security risks, and supporting the overall operational needs of the branch. This role also requires flexibility to provide coverage during banking center hours and as needed at other banking centers within the market.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A broad knowledge of products and services offered by the bank.
- Solid knowledge of bank-wide regulations and thorough knowledge of regulations and laws that relate to his/her department.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Non-exempt, 24 hours per week
WORK LOCATION: In person
SCHEDULE: Our branch is open Monday through Friday 8:30 - 5:00 and Saturday's 8:30 - Noon
