Description and Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for their ecommerce distribution center. They are looking for a promotable leader who thrives at being a hands-on leader. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Leading a team of roughly 60 associates and several salaried leaders on first shift.
  • Being responsible for training, developing, mentoring, and guiding the supervisory team.
  • Planning and managing labor and production hours.
  • Being a cultural leader for the company’s values and mission.
  • Promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Finding and leading lean continuous improvement projects throughout the supply chain stream.


Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will possess most of the following traits:

  • 5+ years of experience in leading leaders in a distribution and/or fulfillment center.
  • A Bachelors, and preferably a Masters degree.
  • A demonstrated history of continuous and process improvement accomplishments.
  • A solid history of developing other leaders to a promotional level.
  • Working knowledge of systems such as WMS, TMS, and excel. The client is a NetSuite and the HR System is Monday.
  • Former project management experience in the realm of implementations, start-ups, turn-arounds, and/or training on new material handling equipment.
