Senior Client Manager- Florham Park
The Opportunity
This role is a key part of the core Direct Transportation Sales team, contributing to Maersk's transformation of the shipping and logistics industry from traditional, manual processes that often lack transparency into a more digital, real-time, and paperless global operation. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer and target base portfolio in pursuit to secure business in line with strategic objectives within the market segment.
  • Proactively engage into new customer relationships, identify high potential customers, and develop them further into regular accounts
  • On board customers to our Digital products or quarterly contracts
  • Build understanding of all service offerings to be able to offer integrated solutions.
  • Transfer sales leads to the concrete Spot and contract, own the lead through time of booking, coordinating with Customer service for smooth booking process, and engage with customers to promote self-service
  • Ensure opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling are identified based on a deep understanding of the customer's business model, commodity, and pain points
  • Drive the Logistics and Service revenue by connecting with product experts to deliver the L&S target
Accountabilities:
  • Prepare and communicate weekly plan itineraries to sales team; maintain active contact list for clients in assigned territory
  • Respond to all sales leads/key correspondence within identified timelines.
  • Provide personalized service and build relationships with customers, identify

  • The ideal candidate must possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. They must also be self-starters willing to be resourceful on their own within the organization. We also value great people skills, ambition, and integrity. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both written and oral). In addition, you must have organizational and time management skills including multi-tasking, prioritizing, and the ability to plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines
  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' work experience in a commercial role within the containerized freight industry
  • Proficiency in persuasive End to End selling
  • Ability to be both persuasive and influential
  • Results driven and capable of working under pressure while keeping sight of the bigger picture and End to End business processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry sales related tools

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
