We are looking for a Client Manager, Insights - OTC & Personal Care to support the day-to-day insights partnership with a leading OTC and Personal Care manufacturer, helping the client identify, prioritize, and act on opportunities for growth across OTC, Personal Care, Health & Wellness, and adjacent consumer categories.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted day-to-day partner to client stakeholders, bringing strong analytical expertise, consultative problem-solving skills, category perspective, and storytelling capabilities to help address the client's most important business questions. You will work closely with the Director, Insights and broader NIQ client service team to transform data into meaningful business recommendations that support stronger business decisions and uncover new pathways to growth.
You will help clients move beyond reporting to understand what matters, what is changing, and where opportunities exist across consumers, retailers, competitors, and categories. This role requires someone who can listen deeply to client needs, identify the underlying business challenge, connect signals across multiple data sources and the marketplace, and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
This role is ideal for an insights professional who is energized by solving complex business challenges, working directly with clients, developing compelling stories from data, and helping organizations make better decisions through consumer, retail, and marketplace understanding.
HYBRID - The role requires a minimum of two days per week onsite at the client's New Providence, NJ location to strengthen partnership, foster collaboration, and stay closely connected to evolving business priorities.
Job Description
Client Partnership & Business Support
  • Serve as a trusted day-to-day partner to client stakeholders across insights, category management, sales, marketing, and commercial teams.
  • Build strong client relationships through a consultative approach focused on understanding business needs and delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Help uncover the true business challenge behind client requests and translate those challenges into effective analytic approaches.
  • Lead working sessions and project discussions with client teams while contributing to larger business reviews and strategic conversations.
  • Support proactive client engagement by bringing relevant category, consumer, retailer, competitive, and marketplace perspectives to discussions.
  • Partner closely with the Director, Insights and cross-functional NIQ teams to ensure the client receives integrated and value-creating solutions.
  • Be present onsite at the client's New Providence, NJ location a minimum of two days per week to deepen partnership and strengthen collaboration.
Insights, Analytics & Storytelling
  • Independently lead analyses using NIQ data, tools, and marketplace context to answer key client business questions.
  • Connect consumer behavior, category performance, retailer dynamics, competitive activity, and marketplace trends into clear business implications and recommendations.
  • Develop compelling presentations, stories, and executive-ready recommendations that help clients make informed business decisions.
  • Move beyond reporting and data recaps to identify strategic opportunities, risks, and growth pathways.
  • Translate complex data and findings into concise, actionable narratives tailored to client audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to proactively answer client questions and bring forward new perspectives that create additional value.
  • Stay informed on trends across OTC, Personal Care, Health & Wellness, shopper behavior, innovation, retail dynamics, and category growth.
Project & Delivery Excellence
  • Manage multiple client projects, priorities, and deliverables simultaneously while ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Deliver analyses, insights, and recommendations accurately, on time, and aligned with client business objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional NIQ teams to address data requests, operational needs, and project requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project risks, issues, or delays that could impact client outcomes.
  • Ensure clients are effectively leveraging NIQ tools, data assets, and capabilities to support decision-making.
  • Maintain strong project organization, communication, and accountability across all assigned workstreams.
  • Support contracted deliverables while continually identifying opportunities to add value beyond the core scope of work.
Thought Leadership & Business Growth
  • Bring forward relevant marketplace, retail, consumer, and category insights that help clients anticipate change and identify opportunities.
  • Support the development of proactive thought leadership that demonstrates NIQ's expertise and value.
  • Partner with internal NIQ experts and the Director, Insights to bring new capabilities, solutions, and perspectives that address evolving client needs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client engagement through additional analyses, solutions, and strategic support.
  • Contribute client feedback and marketplace insights that help improve NIQ offerings and strengthen client partnerships.
Qualifications
HYBRID - The role requires a minimum of two days per week onsite at the client's New Providence, NJ location to strengthen partnership, foster collaboration, and stay closely connected to evolving business priorities.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in CPG, consumer insights, analytics, consulting, client leadership, or professional services.
  • Experience supporting OTC, Personal Care, Health & Wellness, or adjacent consumer categories preferred.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect data to business recommendations.
  • Experience working with syndicated data including NielsenIQ, Circana, RMS/POS, Panel, Scan Data, or similar consumer and retail measurement solutions.
  • Experience presenting insights and recommendations to client stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into effective analytic approaches and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Ability to build trust and develop productive working relationships with client stakeholders and internal partners.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, accountability, and commitment to client success.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite a minimum of two days per week at the client's New Providence, NJ location.
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
Additional Information
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $83,000 - $100,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
