Farabaugh Engineering & Testing is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Client Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for our clients throughout the testing, inspection, engineering, and certification process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing technical projects, and helping customers bring innovative building products to market.

As a Client Manager, you will work closely with manufacturers, architects, engineers, contractors, and our internal laboratory teams to coordinate testing programs, prepare proposals, manage project schedules, and ensure an exceptional client experience from initial inquiry through final report.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

• Prepare proposals and quotations for testing, inspection, engineering, and certification services.

• Coordinate testing schedules with laboratory personnel and project managers.

• Manage multiple client projects while providing timely status updates.

• Follow up on proposals and identify opportunities for additional testing and engineering services.

• Maintain accurate project and customer information within Salesforce CRM.

• Collaborate with engineering, laboratory, quality, and accounting teams to ensure successful project completion.

• Represent Farabaugh Engineering & Testing at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as needed.

• Assist clients in understanding applicable testing standards, certification requirements, and project timelines.

• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and attract new customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience in customer service, account management, project management, technical sales, or engineering.

• Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software is preferred.

• Knowledge of building products, engineering, testing, manufacturing, construction, or product certification industries is a plus.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or engineering experience is highly desirable but not required. Candidates with a strong technical background and the ability to effectively communicate engineering concepts to clients are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in both an office and laboratory environment.

• Occasional travel to customer sites, industry events, and trade shows may be required.
