Client Manager, Commercial – Job Description

Position Summary

The Client Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, serving as the primary liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams. This role oversees the full client service lifecycle including renewals, coverage analysis, and strategic consultation to ensure optimal risk management solutions. The position supports organizational growth through client retention, relationship development, and delivery of high-quality, compliant service while balancing both execution and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership & Ownership

  • Own and manage a book of commercial client accounts and act as a primary point of contact.
  • Provide strategic guidance on risk management and insurance coverage.
  • Partner with Client Executives, Risk Advisors, and carriers to deliver tailored solutions.

Hands-On Execution & Delivery

  • Market renewals and new lines including analyzing and negotiating quotes.
  • Prepare proposals, coverage comparisons, and policy reviews.
  • Maintain accurate client records and transactions in EPIC.

Reporting, Quality & Operational Support

  • Ensure accuracy and quality of policies, contracts, and deliverables.
  • Meet renewal deadlines and manage service timelines.
