Join our team as an Area Assistant Director of Sales!
Are you ready to be the sales and marketing superstar for a group of amazing hotels? As the Area Assistant Director of Sales, you'll work side-by-side with the Director of Sales to boost occupancy, grow revenue, and make sure the hotels are hitting their goals. You'll lead a talented team of Sales Managers, guiding them through everything from direct sales to coaching and hiring. Plus, you'll get creative with budgets, forecasts, and marketing plans, helping turn big ideas into big wins! If you love inspiring others, driving results, and keeping things fun, this is the role for you.
This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.
KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sales Strategy Superstar: Coordinate group, transient, and catering sales to maximize occupancy and revenue. Lead the sales team to consistently hit targets and make events unforgettable.
  • Budget & Marketing Maestro: Develop budgets and creative marketing plans, using your strategic skills to help the team exceed goals and bring big ideas to life.
  • Client Connection Captain: Lead outside sales calls, property tours, and client entertainment while negotiating contracts and building lasting relationships.
  • Market Trend Tracker: Monitor account performance and market trends, setting proactive strategies to keep hotels ahead of the competition.
  • Team Empowerment Enthusiast: Inspire and train the team, oversee HR and catering, and step in as acting GM to ensure a smooth, collaborative, and fun environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 4+ years hotel sales experience preferred; alternate: 4-year degree + 1 year experience or 2-year degree + 2 years experience
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and professional selling skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and organization abilities; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and lead diverse teams
  • Experienced in sales/marketing principles; comfortable with financial data and working under pressure
