Job Description
Work with clients both inside and outside of the distribution channels to educate them on the implications of surrendering or transferring a RiverSource contract to ensure the client is fully educated on their current product, including surrender fees and product benefits, features, and considerations may be unique to their current RiverSource contract.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review information from multiple sources/systems to fully understand the client's current contract features, as well as contract features of third party providers. Make outbound calls to clients that have requested a transfer of their annuity, life insurance, or DI contract and provide education to the client on the impacts of surrendering their RiverSource contracts, including surrender fees and product benefits and features that may be unique to their current product.
  • Take inbound calls from clients who wish to cash surrender their annuity, life insurance, or disability contract. Review information from multiple sources/systems to understand the product features of the RiverSource product and any relevant information on third party products. Educate the client on the impacts of surrendering their contracts, including surrender fees and products benefits and features that may be unique to their current product.
  • Work with other areas of the organization to ensure that the clients are fully serviced through the transaction to move or retain their accounts.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: High school degree or GED.
  • Experience: 3-5 years relevant experience required.
  • *Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.
  • Active Series 6 license.
  • 1-3 years direct sales experience, preferably by phone.
  • Active Life Insurance licenses or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Demonstrated customer service ability.
  • Excellent time management skills.

In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $43,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. This role is eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
