Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence for Colours Inc. by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and building strong, long-term client relationships. This role manages the full business development cycle from prospecting and proposal development through negotiation and account transition while positioning Colours Inc. as a trusted partner.
Working cross-functionally with internal teams, the Business Development Manager ensures client needs are aligned with service delivery and organizational capabilities. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong relationship-building skills, and a results-driven approach to growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals that align with company goals and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics to guide business strategy and meet targets.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred - equivalent experience considered.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management - preferably in a related industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present confidently at all levels.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally, including overnight stays as needed
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in route delivery required; warehouse or distribution is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and a strong customer service mindset.
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
