Job Summaryย 

This role will be a Client Service Manager that also has Project Management responsibilities (a Seller-doer) for the New England market. The purpose of the Client Service Manager (CSM) role is to build and apply core client leadership practices, advancing the firmโ€™s consistency and effectiveness in managing BCโ€™s business for clients.ย This Client Service Manager should be actively working on projects with the client, ย maintaining a utilization target of 60-75%ย with remaining availability largely devoted to business and client development.ย ย The person in this role should demonstrate the ability to maintain, leverage, and expand client relationships. Growth contribution is achieved through strong project delivery, successful pursuit participation, and active engagement with the Client Service Team (CST).ย A CSMโ€™s effectiveness is grounded in credibility,ย both technical and relational,ย reinforced by visibleย and measurableย contributions to client outcomes and opportunity development.ย ย  The CSM should expect to spend 20 percent of their time with the client (some of this time may occur as part of billable work).ย 

At times, this CSM will work closely with other project managers and leading other team members to execute work involving engineering principals and other related activities for infrastructure projects. This person will contribute to project delivery and client service teams in winning and executing innovative planning, evaluation, design, permitting and construction support services for a variety of advanced treatment plants, biosolids, pumping stations, pipeline, and integrated water resources projects for municipal clients in the areas of water, wastewater, and stormwater.

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Support administration and performance of the client portfolio (projects and pursuits) to achieve BC and client business outcomes.ย 
  • Serve as an active CST member (Deputy CSM) for a Type I or Type II client; may serve as CSM for a Type II client in select cases.ย 
  • Contribute to development of client growth strategies and business cases aligned with 1-, 3-, and 5-year milestones.ย 
  • Build a track record of securing and delivering profitable assignments within Area/Market priorities.ย 
  • Maintain utilization targets aligned with portfolio responsibilities.ย 
  • Apply growth and business case thinking to support delivery decisions and reinforce BCโ€™s value through tangible client-recognized outcomes.ย 
  • Maintain accurate and current client data within BC information systems (e.g., WS+).ย 
  • Support effective engagement of SMEs and Delivery leaders to broaden service impact.ย 
  • Assist in expanding client relationships across functional areas and organizational levels; gather and synthesize market intelligence to inform strategy.ย 
  • Maintain regular client engagement (approximately 20% of time, billable or non-billable).ย 
  • Identify and communicate emerging risks affecting client performance or BC exposure.ย 
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.ย

Experienceย 

  • Typically, a minimum of 5 years ofย experience in environmental engineering and consulting industry with progressive responsibilities including marketing and business development.ย 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience preferred working closely with municipal water engineering and consulting with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Act as a Doer/Seller with Project management responsiblities.
  • Effective Project Management skills in managing scope, schedule, budget and risk.

Educationย 

  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, science,ย business, sales, or equivalent experience is required.ย ย 

Salary Range:ย Theย anticipatedย starting payย range for this position is based on the employeeโ€™s primary work location and mayย beย more or lessย dependingย upon skills, experience,ย and education.ย  These ranges may be modified in the future.ย ย 

Location A: $95,000 - $129,000
Location B: $104,000 - $142,000
Location C: $114,000 - $155,000
