Job Description:
Porch Light Health is seeking a full time Business Development Liaison for our Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado locations. The Business Development Liaison is responsible for seeking out and developing new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and new patient referrals to Porch Light Health. Business Development Representative will demonstrate the skills and abilities to manage and document local and targeted areas to increase patient referrals, strategic partnerships, and revenue. This role works with Director of Community Engagement & Development, Medical Operations, Customer Service, and Administrative teams to support the organization's brand image and organizational mission.
Reports to: Director of Medical and Behavioral Health Partnerships
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops, creates, and builds a contact/referral database network in assigned territory; increases referrals and new patient admissions through a variety of campaigns - call, email, text, online meetings - that leverage MAT services & partnership development.
  • Coordinates with Business Development Manager to help develop long-term referent relationships - Residential Treatment Centers (RTCs), Partial Hospitalization Detox Programs, Health Systems/Hospitals, Outpatient Primary Care/Pain Clinics, Case Managers/Social Services from Law Enforcement/Corrections/Shelters, and other Service Professionals providing treatment to the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) population
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities of the competition in the territory and identifies opportunities to develop preferred partnerships
  • Build meaningful, lasting connections/relationships with these organizations and individuals in order to become their first phone call when seeking help for a patient, client or loved one in need of addiction treatment
  • Acts as liaison between referents and the admissions and the PLH clinical staff.
  • Maintains active contacts - calls, email, text, online meetings to drive interest in Porch Light Health services and new patient referrals/admissions
  • Promotes Porch Light Healths vision, mission and brand with internal and external stakeholders/patients.
  • Adheres to HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality standards of practice. Works with the highest integrity.


Skills/Knowledge:

  • Expert --sales, marketing, and relationship building skills
  • Willingness to learn SUD and general healthcare delivery. Ability to interface with medical and clinical providers
  • Ability to learn how the Porch Light Health mission is differentiated and works collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
  • Demonstrated "closer" skills driving referrals and admissions
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and displays ability to work well staff at all levels
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills in building and maintaining relationships with referents, patients, families, and team members
  • Strong follow-up skills characterized by self-motivation, high energy performance, and assertiveness
  • Documents all contacts consistently and clearly with defined next steps
  • Creates the impetus for referents to make referrals on a consistent basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Direct sales experience, preferred prior experience within the SUD healthcare industry.
  • Experience in working within multi-channel marketing team to drive business growth.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of Addiction and Mental Health treatment, (helpful but not required)
  • Critical thinking and problem solving to drive revenue and patient referrals/partnerships
  • Valid Driver License with Insurance with reliable transportation


Pay:$65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on location, education and experience.
Position requires travel to Colorado Springs and Denver
