The Opportunity
The Client Development & Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and advancing the firm's strategic growth initiatives, client development programs, and alumni relations efforts. Working closely with the Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development and the Director of Alumni Relations, the Coordinator will play an active role in developing and executing initiatives that strengthen client relationships and deepen alumni engagement.
The Day-To-Day
On any given day, you will:
  • Support client engagement, strategic growth initiatives, and alumni relations strategies that align with the firm's goals and objectives.
  • Develop and prepare client and stakeholder presentations, event invitations, alumni newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Coordinate and execute client and alumni events, including social events, client dinners, roundtables, and other engagement opportunities.
  • Assist in enhancing the attorney off-boarding process by tracking departures, ensuring accurate data collection, identify trends, and developing recommendations for responsive programming.
  • Maintain and validate alumni contact data in the firm's CRM platform, InterAction, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Analyze alumni data to provide actionable intelligence and insights for attorneys, practices groups, offices, and marketing and business development teams.
  • Track metrics and prepare reports, surveys, including identification of key themes, opportunities, and benchmarks to support ROI results.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable internal resource for alumni data and information, supporting the identification of business development, recruiting and other strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development team members to execute alumni outreach initiatives, including regional and global events, internal and external communications, campaigns and social media.
  • Assist in the creation of internal and external marketing materials that clearly articulate the program's value proposition, benefits and goals.
  • Oversee the alumni portal, including overall functionality, content creation, and ongoing enhancements to ensure it serves as a valuable resource for both internal and external audiences.

You Have
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, marketing, alumni relations, journalism or a related field, preferably in a law firm or professional services organization
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting demands, and deliver solutions in a professional and flexible manner.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including strong writing and editing abilities, familiarity with AP style guidelines, adherence to firm style standards, and ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside of the firm
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (i.e. InterAction), email marketing systems (i.e. Vuture) and alumni management systems (i.e. PeoplePath) preferred.
  • Social media savvy with an understanding of platform strategy and content engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues located in different offices
  • Confident and approachable manner when communicating with firm leadership and senior stakeholders at the firm
  • Proactive mindset with a desire to seek out, develop, and share insights and analysis beyond what is directly requested.

Location Specific Language
Boston: The full-time salary range for this role is $77,000 to $79,000 annually, which is based on a 35-hour work week.
Chicago: The full-time salary range for this role is $63,000 to $71,000 annually, which is based on a 35-hour work week.
New York: The full-time salary range for this role is $75,000 to $78,000 annually, which is based on a 35-hour work week.
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role in the locations listed above at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
