Job description

The Client Development Sales Consultant's primary responsibility is to obtain sales for event branding and maintain positive customer relations. The activities can include placing outbound sales calls, receiving inbound calls, creating sales literature for distribution to prospective and current customers, generating leads, and working with other members of the events sales team to achieve departmental goals. ?Some overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide customers with the best possible customer service before, during, and after the sale.

2. Responsible for generating leads and obtaining sales of the event product line offered by PLI.

3. Place outbound and receive inbound calls from prospective customers according to goals given by supervisor.

4. Follow up on prospective and current customers.
?
5. Search for both hotels and event holders to pair together to generate sales leads.
?
6. Work with the Sales Manager to provide leads generated at trade shows with the applicable sales information.

7. Grow and maintain existing book of business while adding new business.

8. Attend various trade shows and other meetings both in and out of area as required.

9. Maintain good business relationships with current customers to ensure continued sales.

Qualifications:

1. Associates degree or two years of job-related experience or training.

2. Must be able to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

3. Must possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

5. Must be able to work in a team environment.

6. Should possess the ability to multitask and be self-motivated.

7. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office 2010.

8. Knowledge of research via the Internet.
