At Medisolv, data is at the core of how we help healthcare organizations improve patient outcomes. As a Data Specialist, you will play a critical role in bridging raw client data with actionable insights by supporting both data engineering and data integration efforts.


This role uniquely combines data pipeline development, data modeling, and data integration, ensuring that healthcare data from EMR systems is accurately ingested, transformed, and validated within Medisolvโ€™s platform. You will partner closely with internal teams and clients to deliver reliable, high-quality data that powers our quality reporting solutions.


What Youโ€™ll Be Doing / Who Thrives in This Role.

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure technologies (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SQL Server)
  • Build and support ETL/ELT workflows to enable efficient data processing and transformation
  • Maintain data models and ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across systems
  • Expand capabilities into big data environments (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) as needed
  • Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot failures or inefficiencies

Data Integration & Validation

  • Configure and manage ingestion of EMR data into Medisolvโ€™s platform, including direct integrations and flat file transfers
  • Map and validate clinical and encounter data to support accurate quality measure reporting
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, formatting issues, and integration gaps
  • Validate data transformations and ensure compliance with Medisolv standards and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a resource for resolving data-related issues escalated from implementation or support teams

Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with teams across Implementation, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to resolve data issues
  • Partner with clients to align data integration processes with Medisolv best practices
  • Support production rollouts and onboarding of new client data integrations
  • Translate data challenges into actionable solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to reporting, dashboards, and visualization tools (e.g., Sisense, Power BI)
  • Document workflows, best practices, and data integration standards
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve efficiency
  • Help evolve Medisolvโ€™s data architecture and integration standards

  • Onboard with the data team and gain familiarity with tools, workflows, and data infrastructure

  • Begin supporting basic data ingestion and integration task

In your first 3 months, you will:

  • Take ownership of assigned data integration and pipeline tasks
  • Develop and optimize data workflows in Azure
  • Begin independently identifying and resolving data discrepancies
  • Collaborate with teams to improve data quality and integration processes

In your first 6 months, you will:

  • Deliver accurate, reliable data integrations that meet client and regulatory requirements
  • Troubleshoot complex pipeline and integration issues across systems
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and clients

In your first 12 months, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Medisolvโ€™s data pipelines, models, and integration processes
