Credentials & Qualifications That Are Required Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree from an AVMA accredited college or university. Active state license in good standing, or currently pursuing licensure. Current DEA license in good standing, or willing to obtain. A commitment to veterinary excellence and upholding the Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics.
