Job description

Position Summary:ย ย ย 

The Benefitsย Analyst is responsible for interpretingย Summariesย of Benefits and Coverageย (SBCs) and anyย client-specific benefit information provided to accurately complete the departmentโ€™s Project Requirements Document (PRD), and benefit book templates.ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Work with the Project Manager to understand theย changes needed or the collateral to be created for the client.ย 
  • Obtainย all necessary background information and materialsย andย askย relevantย questionsย to enableย projectย completion.ย 
  • Effectively interpret SBCs, SPDs, benefits summaries and marketing spreadsheets and ensure the information is accurately transferred to or annotated in the PRD and other benefit templates.ย ย 
  • Review all work for consistency, accuracy, and wholeness.ย 
  • Ensure edits consistently follow our Higginbotham standard for benefits information.ย ย 
  • Promptly inform Project Manager and Content Writer when information is readyย for next stepย orย whenย informationย needs to be clarified or provided.ย ย 
  • Comply withย organization and usage of content library.ย 
  • Balance a workload of several competing assignments with quick turnaround times.ย 
  • Proactively identify opportunitiesย and work with teamย to improve processes.ย

ย Experience and Education:ย 

  • Minimum ofย threeย years of experienceย inย health insurance.ย ย 
  • General lines insurance license preferred.ย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.ย ย

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.ย 
  • Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens.ย 
  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person.ย

  • Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Agency Management System (AMS) is acceptable
