Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support a legal organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Contract position focuses on accurate billing operations, customer account maintenance, and timely statement processing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling invoicing tasks, managing credit activity, and working across billing platforms with a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Generate recurring account statements each month and ensure they are sent to the appropriate recipients
• Maintain customer records by documenting billing activity and updating invoice information
• Review and process credit memos while ensuring supporting details are properly recorded
• Submit billing information through customer invoicing portals and external web-based systems
• Verify billing data for completeness and follow up on discrepancies before finalizing transactions• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, billing, or a closely related finance function
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with others
• High level of accuracy and close attention to detail in day-to-day work
• Proven ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Comfortable learning new software and working within different billing systems
• Experience with billing functions, billing statements, collections, or billing platforms is preferred
