Position Summary
The Work Study - Assistant, Registrar's Office works as a member of a team to support the Office of the Registrar. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing general office and clerical tasks; assisting with events hosted by the Office of Registrar; answering phones; entering data; filing, scanning, typing, faxing, and copying documents. This position requires FERPA training, which is provided.
Education/Experience
Current enrolled student at Stevenson University in good standing with the University, academically and judicially, with Federal Work Study eligibility.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Organized with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is desired. Database management and other computer skills are valued.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, with a strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to integrity, excellence, learning, and community.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Complete FERPA training and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of the position.

Physical Requirements
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Standing and/or sitting, walking, keyboarding, talking and hearing is required. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal is required. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Position may require additional hours for meetings and events. Perform general clerical and office support functions that include, but are not limited to, filing, scanning, typing, faxing, running errands, and copying.
