What does a clearance manager do?

A Clearance Manager oversees the process of obtaining and maintaining security clearances for employees within an organization. Their responsibilities include ensuring compliance with government regulations, managing sensitive information, coordinating background checks, and liaising with security agencies. They play a crucial role in making sure that only authorized personnel have access to classified or sensitive information, which is essential in industries such as defense, government contracting, and certain corporate environments.
