Description
Under the supervision of the Food Service Manager/Head Cook, Kitchen Aides are responsible to assist in the preparation of meals and kitchen operations for Newaygo County seniors.
Examples of Duties
  1. Assist with meal preparations, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen, and any other kitchen duties that may be assigned.
  2. Cleaning tables and chairs in the dining room, preparing vegetables for the salad bar, helping with beverages, serving meals if necessary, and organizing meal supplies.

Typical Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Six (6) months of prior experience in a food preparation environment is preferred.

Supplemental Information
  • Must possess the ability to lift cases and pans of food and work in a kitchen environment.
  • Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License
  • Must submit to pre-employment drug testing and background check.
