Expected salary range of $117,000 to $130,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Responsible for development, implementation, and management of various maintenance programs that support the Maintenance Department. This position has a wide range of responsibilities, but typically a single Specialist will have a focused responsibility, which will require more of their time than other responsibilities listed. Responsibilities include analyst type support (support of Corrective Action Program (CAP), self-assessments, benchmarking), department core functions (inspection readiness, performance indicator updates, website updates, Knowledge Transfer and Retention (KT&R), program owners as needed), support of various committees / programs (new work screening committee, maintenance rule panel, Plant Operating Review Committee (PORC), surveillance frequency change program, Containment Spray Additive Tank (CSAT), business analyst (contract administration, budgets, forecasting), and support of special projects including providing oversight of contract personnel as needed. The Senior Program Specialist can function as a backup Front Line Supervisor (FLS), fulfill a duty team role, and fulfill an Emergency Response Organization (ERO) position.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Coordinate completion of department core functions (as applicable to incumbent and split between specialists): A. Inspection readiness (Nuclear Safety Review Board (NSRB), Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), etc.) B. Performance indicator generation including input of applicable Critical Data Exchange (CDE) data C. Department website updates D. Oversight of KT&R process E. Generation of department owned Plan of the Day (POD) material F. Program Ownership (weld program, lifting and rigging, etc.) G. Department Training Coordinator H. Support of department Management Review Meeting package
  • Perform analyst function for department (as applicable to incumbent and split between specialists): A. Support self-assessments including performing report reviews B. Support benchmarking including performing report reviews C. Support line with completion of Work Group Evaluations D. Support Organizational Readiness and Performance Improvement group with formal investigations E. Oversight for tracking and completion of department actions F. Maintain department Performance Improvement Action Plan (PIAP's)
  • Support of Clean Energy Center (CEC) committees and programs, examples include, but not limited to (as applicable to incumbent and split by maintenance management): A. New Work Screening Committee B. Maintenance Rule Expert Panel C. PORC D. Surveillance Frequency Change Program E. Cyber Security Assessment Team F. Safety Committee G. Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) Committee H. Configuration Control Committee
  • Perform Business Analyst function for department (as applicable to incumbent and split between specialists): A. Contract management (contract generation, invoices, Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA's), etc.) B. Development of budgets C. Tracking of department budgets D. Forecasting to support Business Operations E. Support of Workforce Planning
  • Support special projects as needed, including oversight of contract personnel.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience OR
  • Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 5 years of related experience OR
  • Associate's degree with 7 years of related experience OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 years of utility or related-industry experience
  • Previous Corrective Action / Root Cause Analysis Training
  • Root Cause Evaluator qualification
  • Knowledge of Contract Administration and Budgets
