Job description

Do you enjoy working "hands on" in a team environment? Then you may be a perfect fit for our role in the Environmental Services Department with UPMC Mon Yough Community Services.
Clean Sweep has been providing janitorial services to the residential sites and office spaces for Mon Yough Community Services for the past 30 + years. This is a supportive employment program to assist individuals with mental health and/or intellectual disabilities to acquire gainful employment. This is a Monday through Friday position with times ranging from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM depending on the site and days worked.
Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks: Vacuum all carpet areas (offices, conference rooms, hallways, entranceways), including detailing crevices along baseboards, corners, and behind doors. Sweep and mop all tiled areas, detailing baseboards and corners. Clean and disinfect bathrooms. Remove trash and replace liners. Restock supplies. Track inventory. Document time sheets accurately.
Weekly/Monthly Tasks: Detail work such as spot cleaning walls, doorknobs, light switches, and air vents.
Additional Responsibilities: Floor care as requested. Maintain a well-groomed appearance with proper attire (long pants, non-slip closed-toe footwear, no controversial t-shirts, no dangling jewelry, facial piercings, or strong fragrances). Inform supervisor of any concerns, needs, or unusual events immediately. Arrive at the job site on time and follow call-off policy. Practice good safety habits and procedures at all times. Establish and maintain courteous relationships with all consumers, customers, co-workers, and other contacts, striving to exceed their expectations. Follow program/agency policies, state regulations, and the agency compliance plan at all times.
Qualifications:
• Adult with past or current connection as a consumer of Mental Health or Intellectual Disabilities Services.
• Complete application as approved by department supervisor.
• Required to be able to lift 20 pounds unassisted and more than 20 pounds assisted.
• Demonstrated ability to complete job functions
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
• Act 73 if they have lived outside of PA in the past 2 years
