Job description

The Clean Sweep Laborer is responsible for following company procedure to maintain street sweepers through washing the vehicle and vehicle inspections. This role operates a regenerative air vacuum and mechanical sweeper and has to be up to date on daily maintenance for both vehicles. This role also drives street sweepers in the yard, washes out equipment daily, tests equipment in the yard, knows how to water up, fuel up, and do detailed vehicle inspections.

Clean Sweep Operations Manager
  • Perform pre- and post- washout & maintenance procedures
  • Keep vehicle clean and free of trash and debris
  • Maintain equipment and follow preventative maintenance procedures
  • Communicate with Clean Sweep Manager as well as record and track maintenance procedures
  • Adjust and operate side brooms, vacuum, and hopper
  • Complete work assignments in a safe and efficient manner to avoid damage and accidents
  • Communicate professionally with drivers
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
  • Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years
  • Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment physical testing
  • Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs signals, and safety training
  • Basic mechanical knowledge in order to assist in preventative maintenance and uncover equipment/maintenance issues to ensure the fleet is maintained properly
  • Mechanical background preferred
