AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of 4 sales consultants.
  • Lead the sales team to consistently achieve the dealership target of 80+ vehicle sales per month.
  • Coach and develop team members on sales processes, customer engagement, and closing techniques.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular feedback, recognition, and corrective action.
  • Assist in closing deals, structuring financing, and resolving escalated customer concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments (F&I, Service, Operations) to ensure smooth dealership operations.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure accurate use of DealerCenter DMS for sales tracking, customer management, and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of proven management or supervisory experience in automotive sales.
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain sales staff.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, capable of driving a team to 80+ sales per month.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
  • Experience with DealerCenter or similar DMS/CRM systems.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid automotive sales license (per state requirements).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; must pass pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen.
