Job description

Equipment Maintenance Technician

This position will be based/located in the Ohio area

Description:

The Equipment Maintenance Technician is a partner in owning all things equipment. You’ll be working with like-minded peers to ensure that every location has the equipment and resources to provide a great experience to every guest.  This is what the ModDrop stands for. Responsibilities:

The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and service of the car wash equipment

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance Experience.
  • 5+ years of Preventive Maintenance Experience.
  • CarWash Experience Preferred. 
  • 1-2 years of trade school or equivalent in field technical experience in car washing, plumbing, welding, HVAC, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs., stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, and climb and work from ladders.

Position Requirements:

  • Visit sites to perform inspections on a regular basis.
  • Complete preventive maintenance to wash equipment.  
  • Perform a wide range of duties related to maintaining and servicing machinery and backroom equipment.
  • Train General Manager and Assistant General Manager on weekly and monthly maintenance.  
  • Comply with all safety guideline, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
  • Perform equipment repairs, replace motors, bearings, air cylinders, reclaim pump, spot free unit etc.  
  • Assist with new wash openings dialing in equipment and chemistry. 
  • Assist with all Micrologic conversions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to collaborate in both virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Visual ability to review designs and make adjustments for clarity, color accuracy, and overall quality.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds (e.g., promotional materials, print samples).
