Text is where our customers' most valuable insights live, and this role sits at the absolute center of how we unlock them. You will lead the strategy and execution to evolve our mature, highly adopted text analysis engine from classical ML/rules-based structures into a cutting-edge hybrid architecture that leverages LLMs for enterprise scale. • Leads and Empowers: Coaches, mentors, and builds high-performing product managers, holding the team accountable to clear outcomes while fostering their career growth.
  • Navigates Ambiguity: Comfortably charts a path forward through rapid AI/ML advancements, turning complex technological shifts into clear, executable product roadmaps.
  • Collaborates Generously: Bridges the gap between deeply technical applied science/engineering teams and cross-functional partners like legal, privacy, and go-to-market.
  • Customer-Obsessed: Regularly engages with enterprise customers to translate their pain points into robust, scalable platform capabilities.
How You'll Grow
  • Shape the AI Era at Qualtrics: Direct ownership of our hybrid LLM strategy gives you a massive sandbox to operationalize production-grade Generative AI at an immense global scale.
  • Executive Visibility: Act as the primary champion for text analytics, regularly presenting product vision, metrics, and strategy directly to executive leadership.
  • Expanded Leadership Scope: Hone your skills as a manager-of-managers and data science partner, navigating the complex organizational dynamics of a fast-growing category leader.
Things You'll Do
We use OKRs to drive clarity and impact. Here are examples of what you will accomplish in this role:
  • Drive Next-Gen Architecture: Define and execute a multi-year hybrid roadmap that seamlessly blends classical NLP precision with the reasoning power of LLMs across all Qualtrics product lines.
  • Scale AI Responsibly: Design and implement rigorous evaluation frameworks and quality benchmarks to balance model accuracy against latency, cost, and enterprise reliability.
  • Elevate Core Performance: Continuous investment in existing rules-based and ML systems to steadily improve topic detection, sentiment analysis, and maintainability for legacy clients.
  • Foster Product Excellence: Lead, scale, and establish clear operational priorities for a team of product managers covering various portfolios within text analytics.
  • Align Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner with engineering, applied science, data privacy, and product marketing to transform complex models into shippable, compliant, and highly marketable features.
What We're Looking For On Your Resume
  • Proven PM Leadership: Extensive experience in product management, including a proven track record (>3 years) of directly managing, coaching, and developing other product managers.
  • AI/ML Product Delivery: Demonstrated success building and shipping NLP, text analytics, machine learning, or AI-powered enterprise software at scale.
  • Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of classical ML/NLP techniques (topic modeling, classification) and modern LLM mechanics (prompting, fine-tuning, RAG, and evaluation metrics).
  • Strategic Trade-off Management: Experience building cost, latency, and performance models for large-scale production deployments of ML or LLM systems.
What You Should Know About This Team
  • At the Epicenter of Innovation: This team isn't just reacting to the AI wave-we are actively redefining how the world's biggest brands process human sentiment and language.

  • Experience Care: Generous wellness, mental health benefits, and regular team-building experiences designed to keep our close-knit, high-functioning team connected.
