Fleet & Commercial Department Director- Holler Ford

Holler-Classic Family of Dealerships, an Automotive News Top 150 dealership group with 17 dealerships serving the Central Florida and Columbia, South Carolina markets, has been proudly family-owned since 1938. Holler Ford is seeking an experienced and results-driven Fleet & Commercial Department Director to lead and grow our commercial vehicle sales division. This leadership role is responsible for developing fleet business, managing commercial sales operations, building relationships with business clients, and driving profitability while delivering exceptional customer service. This position will assist in developing accounts for multiple brands including Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, and Nissan.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in automotive fleet sales, business development, team leadership, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow fleet and commercial vehicle sales.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, municipalities, government agencies, and commercial accounts.
  • Be a working Director selling clients as long as overlooking department.
  • Bring own book of business.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and lead the fleet sales team to achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and community engagement.
  • Manage fleet inventory to ensure vehicles meet commercial customer demand.
  • Collaborate with finance, service, parts, and upfit vendors to deliver complete fleet solutions.
  • Prepare competitive fleet quotes, bids, and proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and manufacturer fleet programs.
  • Establish and track departmental KPIs including sales volume, gross profit, customer retention, and account growth.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the sales and delivery process.
  • Continue to refine and develop policies and procedures in the best interests of all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CRM utilization and expand this into the department.
  • Have extensive knowledge of Ford Motor Company operating procedures and incentives.
  • Assist in developing accounts for multiple brands including Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, and Nissan

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of automotive fleet or commercial sales experience.
  • Ford experience preferred.
  • Previous management or director-level leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and account management.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial vehicles, fleet financing, leasing, and manufacturer fleet programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, dealership management systems (DMS), and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with government, municipal, or corporate fleet accounts.
  • Knowledge of commercial upfitting and vocational vehicle applications.
  • Strong network within the local business community.
