Job description

Convention Center Housekeeping | Day and Evening Shifts Available


Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, comfortable, and welcoming environments? Our team is looking for dedicated Housekeepers[evening & day shifts plus weekend availability]to join us in our mission to maintain the beauty and functionality of our event center. As a key member of the Operations Department, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your general housekeeping, cleaning, equipment handling, and leadership skills. Join us in transforming everyday tasks into meaningful contributions that make a difference in the lives ofThe Classic Center guests, colleagues, and community.


TYPICAL WORK ROUTINE INCLUDES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Extensive walking throughout the facility and facility grounds.
  • Completion of tasks and daily assignments as assigned cooperatively.
  • Perform general manual labor associated with set-up, custodial, maintenance, or housekeeping functions.
  • Maintain the public image of the Operations Department at all times when in the service of The Classic Center.
  • Maintain an irregular work schedule as required by the Operations Manager for events within The Classic Center.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to demonstrate basic cleaning techniques.
  2. Ability to perform manual tasks requiring physical strength and perform reasonably heavy labor.
  3. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions accurately.
  4. Related training and experience that offers a further understanding of custodial and housekeeping techniques is desirable.
  5. Ability and desire to work in a team environment and under the direction of a shift lead or manager on duty.



The candidate who is selected for this position will have to successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.
