Job description

Clark County (Indiana) Government is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Housekeeper. The usual days and hours are Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3 pm.
The Housekeeper position, in summary, will clean, sanitize and help maintain County owned or occupied buildings. Duties and responsibilities include general cleaning and sanitizing, clean and disinfect bathrooms, wipe and dust surfaces, empty trash containers, vacuum and clean floors including mopping floors, occasional outdoor duties such as snow/ice removal.
The person in this position should be detailed oriented and thorough. Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in English. The person must be able to be discreet and respect the privacy of employees and citizens.
Physical requirements include prolonged periods of standing and walking, frequent pushing, pulling and bending, walking up and down stairs, occasionally work in various types of weather and must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at a time.
