Overview
THE ROLE

The Position: Responsible for supporting the Human Resources department general administration and special projects including but not limited to enforcing and understanding all company policies and ensuring accurate application of attendance policies within HR systems. Assist with the recruiting and onboarding process by supporting new hire and rehire entries, documentation, and system processing. Provide administrative HR support, employee engagement coordination, and accurate employee record maintenance.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Review employee attendance records daily within HR systems to ensure accuracy and proper documentation. Escalate discrepancies to Supervisor/Manager as needed.
  • Maintain I-9 compliance and conduct periodic internal audits.
  • Track and monitor required labor law postings (federal/state).
  • Maintain HR bulletin boards and internal communications.
  • Support document retention schedules and HR file audits
  • Prepare documentation for unemployment claims (administrative support only)
  • Support recruiting efforts by assisting with application tracking, interview coordination, and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate pre-employment screenings (backgrounds, drug screens, physicals).
  • Distribute new hire paperwork and assist with onboarding coordination.
  • Prepare orientation materials and welcome packets
  • Coordinate badge access and system setup requests
  • Coordinate new hire follow-up check-ins (30/60/90-day administrative touchpoints)
  • Schedule RoundTable meetings for Leadership to conduct.
  • Coordinate Employee of the Month program, employee anniversaries, onsite engagement activities, company-sponsored events, and monthly newsletters.
  • Answer and direct HR-related calls.
  • Utilize HR systems to enter, update, and maintain employee records, new hires, and rehires accurately and timely.
  • Educate employees on how to access and update their own records within HR systems (paystubs, attendance points, benefits, MyGD, etc.).
  • Greet vendors and visitors for HR-related tours and meetings.
  • Provide direct support during annual Open Enrollment.
  • Maintain filing, along with pulling and filing terminated employee files accordingly.
  • Act as back-up to Payroll associate (as applicable).
  • Develop spreadsheets for tracking purposes and perform general administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)
  • Education: GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in clerical/office or HR support role preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Travel: None.
