Primary Responsibilities
  • Monitor Claim file status and audit jobs to validate that all documentation has been received from the field
  • Review estimates for customers and insurance through insurance software and prepare job file reports as needed
  • Review job close-outs by completing and reviewing job file documentation for insurance and/or customer
  • Coordinate and manage any claim disputes with Insurance Carriers
  • Handle complex insurance claims, etc., are handled with care and ensure customers are satisfied with Team Shaw service with no gaps in communication
  • Ensure adjuster communication is constant and transparent for maximum adjuster comfort regarding claims
  • Audit all jobs to ensure integrity of the file and that the job is closed out properly and ready for invoicing
  • Assist the team in handling escalated customer issues, resolving complex problems, and ensuring that customers are satisfied with the resolutions
Position Requirements
  • 5+ years of administrative or office-related experience
  • 5+ years of insurance-related experience using Xactimate
  • Experience with writing estimates, job file processes, and quality assurance a plus
  • Experience in the service industry environment, specifically emergency services (water/fire restoration), a plus
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including proper pronunciation and grammar, and a consistently courteous and professional tone at all times
  • Polite, confident, and excellent customer service skills, including listening and questioning skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during tense or stressful situations
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
