Job Description
Due to an expanding contract at Kennedy Space Center, Tesla Laboratories is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee the design and construction of infrastructure and facilities projects. The selected candidate will deliver technical guidance, review design packages, and support construction activities involving:

  • Utilities design
  • Site development
  • Paving and grading
  • Drainage systems
  • Stormwater design and modeling

Experience with Storm Wise (formerly ICPR), ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and WaterCAD/SewerCAD is preferred.

Senior Civil Engineer shall:

Be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook), Adobe Pro and AutoCAD and cost estimating software. The government will issue a computer for use.

Be fluent in English, both written and spoken, grammar, spelling and technical report writing.

Be capable of walking on uneven surfaces such as may be encountered on a construction site inspection up to 1 mile. Be capable of standing for extended periods in the heat and a variety of weather conditions. Be able to climb stairs and a ladder without assistance. Be able to bend and reach to visually inspect equipment installations and site conditions
