Job description

Iโ€™m representing an established engineering consultancy thatโ€™s looking to add an experienced Land Development Project Manager to their Indianapolis team. This position will be heavily involved in the design and management of commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use site development projects across Indiana.


Salary: $120,000-$165,000 DOE + Benefits


Job Specifications:

Manage the design and delivery of land development and civil/site projects, including:


  • Commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use developments
  • Site layout, grading and drainage design
  • Stormwater management and detention systems
  • Water and sanitary sewer utility design
  • Roadway, access and associated site infrastructure
  • Oversee projects from conceptual and preliminary design through final construction documents
  • Manage project budgets, schedules and engineering deliverables
  • Coordinate with architects, developers, contractors and other technical disciplines
  • Work directly with private development clients, municipalities and local agencies
  • Review engineering calculations, plans, specifications and cost estimates
  • Support proposals and development of new and existing client relationships
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff


Key Requirements:

  • 7+ yearsโ€™ experience within Land Development, Civil/Site or Site Development engineering
  • Strong background in the design and delivery of private development projects
  • Previous project management or significant project delivery experience
  • Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater and utility design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong understanding of permitting, engineering design and construction documentation
  • Client-facing experience with developers, architects and/or municipalities preferred
  • Indiana PE license, or ability to obtain through reciprocity
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline
