Job description

The Civil Engineer - Site Development will lead and support all civil engineering aspects of project site design and preparation, from concept through construction. This role involves grading, drainage, access roads, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting coordination for energy infrastructure and industrial-scale development projects. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in land development, is detail-oriented, and can collaborate across disciplines to deliver efficient and compliant site designs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, and utility coordination
  • Lead civil site design efforts in alignment with project specifications and permitting requirements
  • Perform stormwater management calculations, erosion control, and hydrology analysis
  • Prepare civil construction documents including plans, profiles, and technical specifications
  • Coordinate with permitting agencies, local jurisdictions, and utility providers
  • Support subcontractor bid packages and review civil shop drawings
  • Conduct site visits for field verification and construction observation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, and environmental engineers
  • Provide technical support to construction and project managers during implementation
  • Ensure all civil designs meet applicable codes, environmental regulations, and project goals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required)
