Job description

Senior Civil Project Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to lead and manage civil engineering design projects from concept through construction. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring technical excellence, managing project budgets and schedules, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring extensive civil/site design experience, proven project management capabilities, and a passion for mentoring engineering teams while contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex civil and site development projects through all phases of design and construction.

Lead, mentor, and supervise engineers, designers, and technical staff to ensure successful project execution.

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and financial performance.

Provide technical oversight for grading, stormwater management, utility design, erosion control, permitting, and site development.

Review engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports to ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.

Coordinate with clients, public agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Support business development activities by preparing proposals, participating in client meetings, and developing new business relationships.

Monitor project quality, resource allocation, and client satisfaction to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil/site design and project management.

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana and/or Kentucky required.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams, client relationships, project budgets, and schedules.

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
