ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The successful candidate will plan, administer and design small to medium size commercial, residential or industrial civil land development projects.
  • Perform civil site design tasks as a member of development team: planning level documentations, tentative mapping / preliminary designs, through to final construction drawings and coordination with other design consultants.
    • Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and that their objectives are met.
  • Responsible for writing and overseeing the production of accompanying civil engineering studies and design reports: Storm drainage hydrology & hydraulic reports, sanitary sewer collection system reports, water distribution system hydraulic reports.
  • Participate in client-rich professional organizations and functions; be a productive member of the community.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors in Civil Engineering required
  • NV licensed PE required or attainable; licenses in other states a plus
  • 3+ years engineering experience with a background in land development civil site design (commercial and residential), including a combination of site layout, grading and erosion control, private and public utility design, storm-water analysis and design, utility coordination and project permitting.
  • Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions and other site constraints.
  • Demonstrated skills developing relationships with municipal, county and state agencies in support of land development projects and obtaining permits from those agencies.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS software applications.
  • Hydraulic analysis including water quality and quantity design as applied to site development projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management.
  • Adaptability and ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure
