Job description

STV is seeking a Civil Engineer for the Transportation Group in Los Angeles, CA.

The Civil Engineer will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in civil engineering. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful completion of projects, meeting high-quality standards, and adhering to project timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a task lead on civil engineering projects from conceptualization through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform project design and development.
  • Provide technical expertise in areas of transportation design to guide project teams and ensure engineering solutions align with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with architects, planners, and other stakeholders to integrate various project elements seamlessly.
  • Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Support coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues and ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
