Austin Staffing, Inc. is recruiting for a Civil Engineer – Jr. Level for our Kansas City, MO. Based client. Our client is a thriving land consulting firm and is seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to support their growing team. This is a great direct hire opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to launch their career within a reputable company! Position Overview: This role focuses on assisting in the design and preparation of civil engineering plans and exhibits for single-family and multi-family residential, commercial, retail, and industrial site development projects. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the design and preparation of civil engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D • Support site design including grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility layout • Assist with preparation of construction drawings and permit submittals • Coordinate with project team members, agencies, and clients as needed • Assist with data collection, analysis, and preparation of technical reports • Maintain organized project files and adhere to company standards Qualifications Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering • 0–2 years of experience (internship experience preferred) • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D • Familiarity with hydrology/hydraulic software (HydroCAD or similar) is a plus • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Compensation & Benefits: • Salary commensurate with experience • Performance-based bonuses (mid-year and year-end) • 401(k) with 3% company contribution • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage • Company-paid life insurance and disability options
