Associate Civil Engineer - San Jacinto, CA

We are seeking a motivated Associate Civil Engineer to join our Public Works team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to public infrastructure projects while developing technical and professional skills within a collaborative, supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with plan checking for encroachment permits; land development grading plans, street plans, water amp; sewer plans, drainage plans, drainage studies,
  • Review traffic control plans for compliance with applicable standards
  • Coordinate with utilities, contractors, consultants, and municipal departments
  • Support construction management activities, including resolving field issues when needed
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project correspondence
  • Provide Capital Improvement Plan project support to senior engineers and public works staff
Required Skills amp; Knowledge
  • Understanding of engineering principles related to public works, utilities, and/or land development projects
  • Familiarity with land development and CEQA is preferred
  • Awareness of relevant local, state, and federal regulations applicable to public works and development projects
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office required)
  • Exposure to AutoCAD 3D, GIS, ArcView, or ArcInfo is a plus
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Education amp; Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or active progress toward a California PE license preferred
