Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Foreman to lead field operations for projects involving sitework, concrete, and underground utilities. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification, while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of field crews on civil construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
  • Oversee sitework operations including grading, excavation, and drainage
  • Manage installation of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm systems)
  • Direct concrete operations including forming, pouring, and finishing
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Schedule labor, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safe work practices
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors
  • Monitor job progress and report updates, delays, or issues


Qualifications

  • 3โ€“7+ years of experience in civil construction, with leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sitework, concrete, and utility installation
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes
  • Proven leadership and crew management skills
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and safety standards (OSHA knowledge preferred)
